(This post was meant to be posted on monday...just so you know)
Well. What can I say about today?
For starters, I must admit that for a monday (the least liked day of the week), today wasn't too horrible. On the contrary, it was extremely funny...in an "oh, i kinda feel sick" way. But I'll get to that in a second.
So, today I had the pleasure of going to take my Senior yearbook picture. Unfortunately, this one photography studio has a contract with our school, so the place I am going to BUY my pictures from isn't the one I actually went to. Anywho, I went in and waited for an hour to take, literally, three pictures....being photogenic, yeah, definately not my strong point. Doing it while grumpy because the mean receptionist in the front office made me wait forever, REALLY not my strongpoint.
Now, to the "feeling kinda sick" part of my day...
As a highly intelligent female, I am taking many advanced and AP courses this year, one of which being AP Environmental Science (or as I like to call it, liberal propaganda hour). Basically, the course is centered around field trips to the zoo, the woods, ect while listening to the teacher yap about "how terrible the human population is", and how "everything we do kills the trees". I mean, the woman talks to birds,
Seriously. You don't even know.
Well, our teacher loves those birds, and decided to create a lab for our class. She came up with disecting owl pellets...Now, in laymans terms, an owl pellet is basically like an owl furball. They eat birds, mice, and other animals whole, the regurgitate the feathers, hair, and skeletons in a pellet. It could have been worst, you know, like disecting a frog (or, for those in anatomyand physiology, a cat), but for kids like me with a weak stomach, the pellet was enough. I spent the whole period scraping black fur-hair-iness off of dead rodent skulls...then went straight to lunch.
Oh yeah, for lunch was broccoli and rice casserole. You know, the one where the broccoli chunks are hidden in the self contained mound of rice...kinda like an owl pellet? If only my poor, sickened mind didn't make that connection....needless to say, i didn't eat.
I guess thats just her way of letting us "discover" new things. I discovered that owl pellets smell. I discovered that having AP Environmental Science before lunch is not a great thing. And I discovered that out of all the possibilities in the world, i ended up with a crazy teacher, a meadow mouse skull, and leftover broccoli casserole.
How lucky am I?

Hey! It was cool to hear your voice on the podcast! Someday, I plan to achieve that level of awesomeness, but I gotta think of something cool to say first.
