Yes, that is the sound of one girl getting pumped about her FIRST CRUISE EVER...courtesy of band. Who would've thought that six years of spitting into an elongated piece of metal could pay off like this???
I'm happy to state that at our meeting tonight, we discussed two possible cruise lines to go on, and ended up choosing the Royal Carribean Cruise to Jamaica and Mexico. It has a rock climbing wall, a miniature golf course, and an ice skating rink ON BOARD; the Carnival ship that they've taken the past 8 years only had swimming pools and a "teen disco".
The downside. It costs over $300 more to go on the bigger cruise. Even worst, we'll be on the sea on Easter Sunday. I don't know how religious some of you are out there, but I am very involved with my religion and let me tell you, my parents are not happy that I am "missing the most sacred Christian holiday to run around on a big boat".
Oh Well. What do they know about having fun?
Anyways, the cost is pretty steep...we're talking in the neighborhood of $1080. And I make minimum wage and only work for two or three days a week. Even if I were to take EVERY CENT of my paychecks till the money is due, I could only cover a portion of the costs. And for all purposes, lets just say that I'm not exactly living the high class lifestyle...my family has 6 people in it and 0 dollars for Cruises, proms, whatever may come up this year.
Its up to me now; All I can do is picture the beaches to encourage my work ethic.

A CRUISE!? That sounds magnificent. Curse my lack of musical talent for keeping me from joining band...
It is rather unfortunate that you'll be on sea Easter weekend, and to a lesser degree the fact you'll probably miss a new episode of LOST on Wednesday. Remember to set your VCR.
