Sushi, Anyone?

I can't believe it!

After several long, long weeks, the cloverfield site http://www.1-18-08.com/ has finally released a new photo!

And also after several long, long months, I finally figured out that you could flip the pictures OVER to reveal notes on the back of them....okay, so apparantly everyone else in the world knew this back in July and August, but I am now In The Loop, I swear!

So, the picture is of this japanese chef or baker of some sorts holding a tray with some kind of concoction on it...he seems pretty happy (BONZAI!). Anyways, the weird thing about this picture is that unlike all the others, there is no watermarked date on the bottom of the picture. There's nothing on the bottom of the picture. My guess, this was taken either pre or post 1-18-08...maybe post, like it was something this rob character picked up in Japan. Does that mean that he lives through "the attack"? Oh, the questions!

On the back of the picture is a bunch of japanese writing, with random numbers like "10" and "1/2" sprinkled in throughout. I (along with many others) presume it to be the recipe for the "food" in the picture. I did some research, and I think I found a decent translation, but since I am oh so fluent in japanese, I can't be sure if its right. Even if it is, there was nothing out of the ordinary...It was, I dunno, just a recipe.

Anywho, I feel quite proud of myself for this discovery! Like I said, I did some research and finally feel connected to the project once again. So here is my new favorite site devoted to cloverfield. This guy does a video post every week where he discusses the rumours, the truths, and the crazy awesomeness of the movie. Its amazing. Find it at http://www.1-18-08news.com/. One post that caught my eye was for some website called http://www.jamieandteddy.com/ where one character named jamie from the movie is talking about something. I havent watched it yet, but if you go to the site, click the picture of the bears, and then put the password "jllovesth"then click the video link to see it. I'm going to check it out later.

Also look into http://tagruato.jp/ . It is this oil drilling company that has a site opening near new york this month, whose subsidaries include the mysterious slusho org. Feels pretty "HANSO FOUNDATION-ISH" to me..I mean, the organization is fake. Connects with slusho. Creepy website. CONNECTS WITH SLUSHO. I feel its not a fake. Its too involved, and besides, the drilling may be what awakenens the "monster".

Leave some comments on what yall think (my comment box has been increasingly less popular lately...cough cough)lol. I'm pretty excited about it all...maybe I will be able to make it to January after all.

Hey Hey!
Wow, I didn't know Cloverfield had such a dedicated online community. The whole thing seems rather Lost Experience-Esque!
I admit, I've been out of the Cloverfield loop for a couple of months...but now thanks to your post, it is officially back on my radar.

How's the possible future podcast coming along?

PS the royalties check for our use of the word MEGACAST is going to be a bit late...
